I find photography to be a fascinating form of art because you're capturing a moment of the past and displaying it in the present. Some pictures represent a part of ourselves, or someone we used to be, and we can take solace in the fact of how far we've come. As well, photography allows us to hold onto what does not last forever. Many pictures contain aspects that no longer are, and never will be again.
There are moments in our lives that have molded us into the individuals that we are today. For this assignment I wanted to capture significant events that my models felt embodied them. Whether it is where they originate from, a place they have traveled, or somewhere that they feel confident and one with themselves. In the end, many of these photos leaned towards nature, beauty and explorations.
